Diamond Pier is an innovative foundation system that utilizes a precast concrete head, 4 steel pins, 4 plugs, and 4 caps to transfer the load to a larger area of undisturbed soil. Diamond Pier is based on pin pile technology which combines the best features of both types of man-made foundations. The steel pins are driven into the undisturbed soil and held in place by the heavy-duty concrete head so no excavation is required during the installation process. The pins spread out as they are driven into the ground which provides a greater bearing area, similar to how tree roots function. This creates increased uplift and lateral resistance to support the structure.
Diamond Pier Foundation Systems have numerous benefits that save you time and money. DP-50 and DP-75
Diamond Pier DP-50 and DP-75 foundation systems are intended to be used to support simple residential projects constructed with columns, posts, and beams. Project loads are limited to the capacities defined in the Residential Diamond Pier Load Chart. The scope of project is defined as decks, covered decks, walkways, stairways, and accessory structures as defined in the International Residential Code, or similar projects that meet this intent. The DP-75 should be used for larger, more-complex structures, and the DP-50 for smaller, simpler projects.
